>> December 23, 2008

I decided, that I am a list person. And, now that I have been 25 for one week, I have decided that 24 was a good year, and before I get too old
and senile, I am going to write a list of things I accomplished when I was 24.

So here we go.. 24 Things I did when I was 24 - in no particular order of course.

  1. I started this AWESOME blog.
  2. I then got addicted to writing this here blog.
  3. I learned how to properly fold Macy's textiles - very important.
  4. I got snowed on in JUNE.
  5. Became VERY obsessed with Barack Obama
  6. I almost crashed on a plane while landing in Amsterdam, in The Netherlands.
  7. I moved back in with the parentals - and started sharing a room with my sister!
  8. I saw LOTS of aminals at Yellowstone.
  9. I got hit on by a German-Italian waiter in Berlin - who then gave us free Fanta.
  10. Got mocked by a Turkish-German man in Potsdam - who then gave me a free Döner.
  11. Planned to move out of the country..
  12. Then fled from a Crazy Germany family - on a train - by myself.
  13. Realized how much I truly need people to remain sane.

  20. And was then pissed off and disappointed by Breaking Dawn.
  21. I visited Lagoon three times

Good News.. Vampires & The Clintons

>> November 22, 2008

I just saw Twilight. And, after Breaking Dawn sorta ruined the series for me, I was leery about the movie. However, I tried to go in with an open mind and enjoy the movie. Since I had enjoyed the original first book so much. I liked it. Parts were cheesy.. but parts of the book were cheesy. I did like the way the characters were portrayed, and I liked that some of the lines from the book were read verbatim during the movie. Altogether it was good, just not fantastic. And, it was fun to see the Harry Potter trailer again, even though I have it pretty much memoried. I still would have chosen Harry over Edward, but for now I guess Edward will do.

In other weekend news.. I am excited that Hillary Clinton will be the next Secretary of State in the Obama administration. I love that we can have a President~Elect that can get past the petty crap that happened during the Democratic Primaries, and really pick the best person for the job. Don't get me wrong, I also really like Bill Richardson. But, I think that he will be better in a different position, but I'll be smiling pretty big when Governor Richardson, Senator Clinton, and my fav President~Elect Obama are all on the same team in the White House. I'm thinking it's going to be a great administation. Go Team Obama! ;) haha.

A disappointing book.. and an American Monster?

>> August 3, 2008

First off, I have to say Breaking Dawn sucked.. pretty bad. It was very much unrealistic, and in parts felt like a cable sci-fi movie gone very wrong. But I won't say more for those that haven't finished..

On to another monster, the Montauk Monster. This "animal" if that is what it is, is from Montauk, just outside of Long Island. People are really unsure of what it is.. I have no idea. I think it looks crazy! Jeff Corwin from Animal Planet has said that he thinks it is a raccoon. Although I'm not so sure that's what it looks like either.. A Raccoon?
Here is the link from the CNN News Story..

Thoughts

>> August 1, 2008

So, I am addicted to blogging. And, my sister has been blogging as well.. but now we have my 10 - year old brother involved. You should check out his blog, he's pretty funny. www.timmy-eagles.blogspot.com.
ALSO, today is Breaking Dawn Day. It is a National Holiday. Or at least.. in my world it is. There is less than 5 hours left until it comes out! YAY! I'm kind of tired though, so hopefully I can stay up and read, read, read. My sister, Ashley and my friends Amanda & Amanda, are all going to the release party tonight at Barnes and Noble. After we already went and waited in line this morning for our wrist bands. Amanda Y couldn't come so I was Nicole, AND Amanda Y today. I think the lady kind of caught on, cause she had seen me in the other line just before.. but she didn't say anything. OH well. This means that we're all in the same group to go get our books tonight! I hope it doesn't take too long.. EEeee. And, they're having a "Wedding" for Edward & Bella tonight too, so I'm hoping there won't be too many crazy people there.. I'm running if I see Wedding Dresses!! (I'm definitely taking my camera, and will post any pictures of crazy people later.. )

And.. Team Edward better win. That's all I can say. Jacob is going down.

A well-composed book is a magic carpet on which we are wafted to a world that we cannot enter in any other way

The Host, by Stephenie Meyer

I LOVE Twilight, and I am super excited for Breaking Dawn next week. And for the movie in December. However, I have discovered a new book to keep my attention as I wait for Breaking Dawn. THE HOST! And I have to admit, in the beginning it wasn't all that wonderful.. it's a little slow. But once you get through that initial slowness it is so good! I'm not done yet.. so I got to go finish reading it! :) OH yeah.. and I'm not done yet, so maybe I shouldn't make this assumption but I'm definitely Team IAN in this one...

I wish it was sooner than it is. I guess seeing this movie will have to be my Birthday present. haha.
