Should be Reading:
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) teaser sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- You also need to share the title of the book that youre getting your teaser from that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser youve given!
- Please avoid spoilers!
My Teaser for this Tuesday comes from a Play that I just read for my Literature class. It's an interesting play. It's by an American playwrite, Susan Glaspell, she wrote it in 1916. It characterizes and shows how life was back then, including the attitudes towards women. But besides that, it is kind of startling. Like a short story that ends just a little strange. Anyway, here's my teaser:
County Attorney: "I guess before we're through, she may have something more serious than preserves to worry about."
Hale: "Well women are used to worrying over trifles"
and later.. his wife says this to another woman, Mrs. Peters:
Mrs. Hale: "I Know how things can be for women. We live close together and we live far apart. We all go through the same things -- it's all just a different kind of same thing."
