Ugh ~ this just makes me sad. 10 MONTHS is such a long time! I feel awful for the hikers, and their families and their friends. How terrible would that be, to be stranded so far away, to not be able to see or speak to your family, and your friends.

* News release from Reuters, about 5 minutes ago states that Iran has said that the hikers are spies (NOT true), BUT they've offered to do a prisoner swap:
Iran's intelligence minister said on Sunday he had no doubt three U.S. citizens arrested last July near the Iraq border are spies and called on Washington to propose a prisoner swap to secure their release.
Crossing my fingers for a solution. I really thought there was a big chance the hikers would be allowed to return to the United States with their mothers.
